  • Christmas Shoebox Appeal

    Thu 02 Oct 2025

    Dear Parents and Carers,

I am supporting the Amen Trust Christmas Shoebox appeal through my church this year. I would be grateful if you were able to support me in this venture.

These are family shoeboxes so please include items for parents and children. Attached is the leaflet that guides you what to include. Do not include books where you need to be able to read English. Shoebox contents are our everyday items but to these Romanian families living in very basic conditions, they show someone cares enough to give them the only gift they may receive this Christmas.

Please only use a standard sized shoebox or equivalent sized box (we don't want large boot boxes as this makes distribution unfair). Please would you also include a £2 towards transportation.

If you are unable to fill a box but would like to make a donation of any of the items, I can make up boxes accordingly.

The deadline for any donations is Wednesday 23th October. Please bring to Mrs De Hoest, Alligators class.

I will be promoting this opportunity to the children during Assembly on the 15th October but they will only have a short time to meet the deadline.

Thanking you in advance for any help you can give to me. Below is a link to the video of last year's distribution. https://www.amentrust.co.uk/relieving-poverty/romanian-shoebox-appeal/

    Regards

  • Bibbidi-bobbity PANTO TIME

    Mon 29 Sep 2025

Here is a flashback photo from the last foray into the Kingdom of Cinderella!

The days are getting shorter (Oh yes they are) and we are asking ourselves where is that time gone (It’s behind you!). And that can only mean one thing: Panto time.

This year, we will be bringing one of the best-loved fairy tales to the stage and it might look a little bit like the story we all know and love (although we can’t make any promises).

We can guarantee that there will be jokes (mainly bad ones), there will be songs (that have audiences shouting ‘bibbidi-bobbity-don’t’) and we will be needing as many members of our wonderful school community to put this together.

    Some helpful information:

    · This year’s production of Cinderella will be performed on Friday 13th February, Saturday 14th February and Sunday 15th February

    · Rehearsals take place Mondays and Thursdays at school, 8pm – 10pm, and will start from Monday 3th November until the production. We do allow a break during the Christmas holidays.

    · People will not be needed for every rehearsal, however the more that you can commit the better.

    · Fun and laughter is guaranteed!

    · Everyone is welcome to put themselves forward and we’d love to welcome some new faces to our Panto family. Just ask some of the previous cast members and they’ll tell you what a life enriching experience it is.

If you are willing and able to join the gang, either on stage or off or to join our talented Panto Band, please complete the reply slip on the letter home today and return it to either Mr Shuker, Mr Frerichs or the school office by Monday 13th October.

    Kind Regards

    The Panto Team
