Home Learning 2021-22:

This week, we will be introducing the children to weight and mass. Visit this link to White Rose Maths Home Learning. It should already be filtered for you. Click on the 'Weight & Volume' block to access the content.

We will be exploring up to - and including - video 5: 'Weight and mass problems'. Please email the class account so that we can provide you with the worksheets for the videos.

We recommend introducing the concept of weight and mass by allowing children to explore weighing and comparing objects in their hands first. Children will not be learning how to read standard units such as grams and ounces - they will be using non-standard units as highlighted by the videos at the link above. 

An additional activity to consolidate weight and mass this week is the Camel Game on the maths site Topmarks.
