Please practise spellings by writing them in a sentence - this is particularly beneficial to our EAL children. Using the word in context helps your child to understand the meaning of the word.

The –e at the end of the root word is dropped before –ing, –ed, –er, –est, –y or any other suffix beginning with a vowel letter is added. Exception: being. (National Curriculum 2013).
