Rooted in faith, we reach for the stars.

Tuesday

Today we are going to work on one of our important reading skills: making predictions. A prediction is a guess based on the clues so far in our reading. I will read the beginning of a story in the video below. Use the information you learned about wombats yesterday to make a reasoned guess about what will happen in the rest of this story. Then fill in the sheet below in your best handwriting or write your prediction straight into you home learning books.

When you have written your prediction, watch the end of the story. Don't worry if your prediction was not what actually happened in the story - what matters is that you made a guess based on the clues you had so far.

'Wombat Goes Walkabout' by Michael Morpurgo and illustrated by Christian Birmingham, read with permission of Collins/Egmont/HarperCollins Children’s Books.
