Thursday Independent work

Today, we move on to our geometry topic, starting with recognising 2D and 3D shapes.  Please note, at Year 2 level, rectangle and oblong refer to the same shape, and the children just need to know the general term "pyramid" rather than worrying about which shape the base is.

There is then either the worksheet to complete or the shape scavenger hunt practical activity.

 

Please note: for tomorrow's zoom session and activity, it would be useful to have sticks, straws, pencils or similar and blu-tack, plasticene or similar.
