Holy Trinity Primary School VE Day celebrations - 8th May 2020.

This year we celebrate 75 years since the end of World War II in Europe.  In 1945, more than a million people celebrated in the streets, and in London there were massive crowds in Trafalgar Square, all the way up the Mall to Buckingham Palace, where the Royal Family was joined by Winston Churchill on the famous palace balcony.  All across the country people celebrated together. Before the start of COVID-19, there were lots of plans in communities, cities, towns and villages to commemorate this event and we would, as a school have been celebrating this event with different activities.   Instead, as a year group, we are looking to see if we can have some virtual celebrations and then share these through photographs on our website/Twitter pages and for when we are back in school.

At 11am on Thursday 7th May (the day before VE Day) at 11am we will be having a special YouTube live stream sing-a-long. There are three videos to teach you a handful of the most popular sings from WW2 ready for our sing-a-long.
