Tuesday 5th January - Yes! It’s our world, our wonderful world! H20 - You will learn about water, where it comes from, looking specifically at the water cycle. You will then learn the three main uses for water and how to save or reduce water in your household.

Tuesday 12th January - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! We will learn all about reducing, reusing and recycling. You will explore how a landfill operates and create your own product from recycling household items.

Tuesday 19th January 2021 Be better and do more Today we will learn about climate change and the causes and effects. We will learn about the greenhouse gases and carry out an experiment to see these effects.

Tuesday 26th January Biodiversity and ecosystems Today we will learn what biodiversity means and what makes up an ecosystem. We will also learn that these places are under threat and carry out a speaking and listening task with your parents and carers about what you can do to help.

Tuesday 2nd February Deforestation Today we will decode the word to identify the meaning and look at what impact this has on animals. You will also understand how human activity is major factor and plan, prepare and conduct a speech

Tuesday 9th February Life is all about balance In this lesson, our learning objective is to learn about what makes a balanced lifestyle. Within this lesson, we will compare and contrast two very different lifestyles. Our two main characters will take part in a race which they have prepared for very differently. Who will win?

Tuesday 23rd February - Food, glorious food! In this lesson, we will explore what a diet is and why it is so important. We will have a very special visitor who will teach us the benefits of eating the right foods and will be introduced to the Eatwell Plate. From this, we will have a better understanding of the different amounts of foods we should be eating. At the end of the lesson, we will write a letter persuading others to make healthier choices.

Tuesday 2nd March - Time to get active! In this lesson, we are going to be learning about the importance of exercise through the help of a very special guest! The lesson will involve getting up on our feet and measuring our heart rate before and after exercising. Our guest will then tell us how much exercise we should do everyday - you might be in for a shock! To finish the lesson, we will be creating our own exercise timetable which we can use in school to help us stick to exercising regularly!
