Mental Health Awareness Week
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week. As we know, it is important to ourselves keep physically fit and healthy; we can do this by exercising regularly, making sure we drink plenty of water and eating a balanced, healthy diet. However, it is just as important to keep ourselves mentally healthy - keeping mentally healthy helps us to relax more, achieve the things we are capable of and take into consideration the thoughts and feelings of ourselves and others. The good news is, the things you do to keep yourself physically healthy also has a positive impact on your mental health but there is lots more we can do to ensure that we are checking in on our mental health. There are additional resources aimed at parents and carers in the Parent/Carers and Archive section below.
This week we will have additional topic lessons based on activities which promote positive mental health. We will be focusing on 5 main themes:
- Worry/anxiety - Monday
- Calming down - Tuesday
- Resilience - Wednesday
- Kindness - Thursday
- Exercise - Friday
These themes will also be the focus in the content on Trinity TV, for extra activities tune in here https://www.facebook.com/holytrinitysch As always, tweet us throughout the week to let us know how you are getting on with the work - we love hearing from you!
