Session 1:

Today we would like you to start preparing for your first part of writing.

We would like you to think about the use of a comma in a list.

Example:

Look at the following sentence:

Henry liked tennis archery hunting and jousting.

The sentence above is missing the commas to separate the list of sports that Henry liked.

Read the sentence out loud – think about where you take a short pause in the sentence – your grown – up can help you with this.

Answer:

Henry liked tennis, archery, hunting and jousting.

Note that we do not need to use a comma when we use ‘and’

Now you try to put the commas in these sentences:

Henry could speak many languages like Latin Spanish and French.

Henry liked listen to music eat well and entertain.
