The practical activity on the pdf below can be carried out without printing. You could write the numbers 1 to 10 (or 1 to 20 to extend the task) on pieces of paper then put counters on or sort them into numbers which do divide exactly between the two and numbers which have a bear left over.
Once you've explored odd and even numbers by dividing by 2, either on the worksheet or the first practical activity, you might like to use your knowledge to spot and explain the mistake on the table below.
