Rooted in faith, we reach for the stars.

Tuesday Independent work

Today, we move on to interpreting pictograms where the pictures represent 2, 5 or 10.  Again, we will need to count in 2s, 5s or 10s and remember that half a picture stands for 1 or 5 (according to the key).  Key vocabulary includes "fewer, least, less and fewest" for smaller/smallest, "greatest, most, most popular" for larger/largest and "more than/less than" to compare amounts.

Please see below for the White Rose video to recap/catch-up the learning from the zoom.

We have then provided the worksheet or a practical activity to complete.

White Rose video - Interpret pictograms

Practical Activity

Please note, this practical activity can be done purely as discussion or the answers can be recorded in the back of your green book.  If written down, it would help to have them written in the sentences to practise using the vocabulary.
