As part of the project on 'Stratford upon Avon and the Theatre', year 5 have been looking at theatrical masks, particularly as they have been studying Romeo and Juliet which is set in Verona.  Verona was famous for its beautiful masks and masked balls.

Anna Kelsey, an RSC designer, came in to work with the children and discussed the different considerations in design.  The children then had the opportunity to use different materials to create masks.  Click on the link below to see an photo animation of the experience.
