Summer Term week beginning 13th June 2022
Current home learning (2021-22):
This week we are beginning to explore William Shakespeare's play 'The Tempest'. Last week the children watched the first 15 minutes of CBeebies Presents: The Tempest, which you may wish to revisit with your child.
We will be exploring up until Prospero enslaves Caliban as punishment for his actions against Miranda. There will be a focus on how characters are feeling and what they might be thinking at key points in the story.
How does Miranda feel about her father spending all of his time practicing magic? How does Antonio feel about having all of the responsibilities of a duke without the title?
We will also be thinking about how we would describe a variety of things using interesting language: from an island paradise to the creature Caliban.
