YEAR 3

Check out these videos from your fab new teachers for next year....you are going to have such fun!

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome to the Year 3 home learning page.  Well here we are at the very last week of term.  Since we parted company way back in March we have strived to provide you with lots of activities and Year 3 curriculum content for you to work on at home.  Many of you have sent in examples of the wonderful things you have been doing and we have put them here too.  Looking at it now, we realise we have created a fantastic resource and celebration of your achievements.  The page will continue to be accessible throughout the summer, so if there are things you missed or you would like to go back to and revise, keep dipping in and out to make sure you continue to grow your lovely brains ready for your next adventure in Year 4.

We hope you all keep safe and well over the summer holidays.  We will miss you all so much, you have been a exceptionally lovely group of children.

Best wishes Year 3 team - Mrs Templeton and Mrs Milward

What have you been up to?

Here are a few of the things that you fabulous Year 3 children have been up to recently.

Work has started to come in from your Zoom sessions with Ms. Geear.

(1) Scarlett has sent in her shape poem, we just love how the words are in a big flash of lightning.  (2) James from Marsupials has used a triangle shape to describe the night time activities of a barn owl.  (3) Seb has produced some really creative topic work, what a fabulously inventive map and key.  (4, 5 & 6) Darcey has shared her shape poetry, we love the similes, and look her legs really are as straight as spaghetti!  (7 & 8) Roberta has been inspired by our Zoom Topic lessons and created two wonderful pieces of work, an Eiffel Tower out of pipe cleaners and a lovely island with an excellent key.  Well done.  (9) Another great looking island, this time from James in Marsupials, the top of the island looks lovely with its two beaches, good job they are quite far from the volcano!  (10 & 11) Harrison has been enjoying the practical maths activities for 3D shapes.  (12 & 13) Evie has sent in her map with snow capped mountains and a cave to hide in when the volcano erupts.  We love the bubble writing for the welcome words, very eye catching.  (14) Lovely to see that Scarlett has written a persuasive letter following Thursday's Zoom lesson with Miss Geear.  She has found her persuasive voice by using a formal layout and persuasive language.  Well done Scarlett.  (15) Roberta has created a very tasty looking European menu and is going to have a go at making one of these dishes... I hope it's the KrumKake.

Ben J has sent us all a greeting!
