This week, we will continue to explore the wonderful story of Beegu by Alexis Deacon.  You can hear the start of the story by watching Puffin Storytime | Beegu + Draw-along with Alexis Deacon - YouTube, but please stop watching at 1.50 (when we learn that Beegu needs to find some friends) so that the rest of the story remains a surprise.

What do we know about Beegu?  What friend would she like?  Why?  Discuss what would make someone a good friend for her.  Does this new friend need to look like her?  Is it how someone looks or how someone behaves that is important?

Draw or make a friend for Beegu.  Can you describe your friend for Beegu to your adult?  Give them a name, hobbies and personality traits.  Can you tell your adult why this would be a good friend for Beegu?
