This week, we will continue to explore the final part of Beegu by Alexis Deacon.  You can hear the story by watching Puffin Storytime | Beegu + Draw-along with Alexis Deacon - YouTube (and learn how to draw Beegu too).

We will infer what characters are thinking and feeling.  Examine the page where Beegu finds "the perfect place".  Can you copy Beegu's body language?  What might she be thinking?  Can you copy the children's postures and expressions?  What might they be thinking?  Move on to the illustration in which Beegu and the children play together.  Why might this be "the perfect place"?

Now examine the illustration in which the teacher holds Beegu away from the children.  You could act out this scene with your adult as the teacher, a cuddly toy as Beegu and you as one of the children.  What might they be feeling?  What might they be saying?  Take turns with your adult to suggest ideas, your adult going first.  Write down some of your ideas for us.  Remember to use capital letters at the start of your sentences and full stops or question marks at the end.
