The spelling pattern for this week is as follows:

The -i sound being spelt as a-y      e.g. reply

The removal of -y and the addition of -ies        e.g. replies

The common exception words that we are focusing on are: climb and eyes

We recommend that you put the spelling words into a sentence as this helps the children to put the word into context.  This is particularly important for our EAL children.
