Today we are going to be looking very closely and describing pictures to build up our vocabulary and also thinking about a Geography learning objective: to understand what a city, a town and a village are. We have already discussed this in class and looked at a powerpoint to help us learn the differences. 

 

Firstly, look at the powerpoint below and make sure your child understands what a city, a town and a village are. Do they know the names of any cities, towns or villages? Have they been to any?

 

Next, look back at the powerpoints of 'Bear in the Air'. (See Thursday 12th) Look carefully at the pictures. For each one, can you say what sort of place is shown in the picture? (Some may not be cities, towns or villages). What clues can you see in the pictures to help you?
