Lesson 1: Multiples of 10, 100 and 1000

First, please have a look at the starter PPT below and see if you can use your existing knowledge to complete the investigation.

Now, please watch the video and have a go at the questions on it, using your existing knowledge to help multiply by multiples of 10, 100 and 1000.

Try creating some calculations of your own, eg. 20 x 34, 400 x 7 and 3000 x 80.

Lesson 2 - assessment and review of multiplication and division content

Today, we will be reviewing the content of our multiplication and division unit.  Please revise the content using the videos in the Autumn Term multiplication and division section (you will need to scroll down) of the White Rose website.

Lesson 3 - measuring perimeter

During this session, we will start our perimeter and area unit.

Please watch the video and work through the activities, you will need a ruler for measuring.

You could try measuring the perimeter of some rectangular surfaces around your home.

Can you draw some rectangles and other shapes with a perimeter of 30cm?
