Year 4 will look at the short 'quest' novel 'The Ice Palace' by Robert Swindells for Autumn 2. It's a moving and well-written story set in another time and place where Ivan, the main character, goes in search of his brother taken by the mysterious character of Starjik. Similar to Varjak Paw, it covers strong themes such as bravery and family love and there is much to explore in terms of character and dilemma. If you haven't already done so, we recommend you buy or borrow a copy of the book so you can follow the exciting story at home.

Sharks have been reading Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo (which will be finished in short videos on the Facebook page).
