Week Beginning 29th November 2021
This week we continue to explore the story of The Nativity by May Elliot. You can also explore other versions of the story if you have access to them. Here are some ideas to complete over the week so take your time and enjoy.
Task 1. Let's start off the week retelling the story from your memory, can you use actions to help you remember the story? See if you can show your grown up your best acting skills.
Choose your favourite scene from the story and create a freeze frame. Can your grown up guess what part of the story you are acting out?
Task 2. We are learning about proper nouns this week. What is a proper noun? A proper noun is the name of a person or place. They should start with a capital letter. Just like your name! Can you find all the proper nouns in the story? Remember, they are names of people or places.
Task 3. Can you remember what a caption is? A caption is a short sentence to accompany a picture. Choose a picture of a character from the story and write a caption to go with it. Remember to start a character's name with a capital letter because it is a proper noun.
Task 4. Who is your favourite character from the story? Choose a character and create a character profile or description all about them. Remember to use some adjectives (describing words) to make it really interesting. You can include their name, a lovely drawing of them, some sentences about what they look like and what you think the character's personality is like.
