We would like you to join these sentences using a suitable conjunction.

Conjunctions -and   -but    -because    -if     -when

Example:

You will need an umbrella today. It is raining outside.

You will need an umbrella today because it is raining outside.

 

The boy did not like grapes. He did like red apples.

 

Tom was playing in the back garden. Jess was playing in the front garden.

 

The girl did not want to go out. It was cold outside.

 

 

Remember we use a conjunction to join two ideas together.

Can you write two ideas and join them with -when or -if

You could write sentences about the Tempest

Example:

When Miranda and Prospero were on the boat Gonzalo gave Prospero his magic books. 

or

Gonzalo gave Propero his magic books when they were on the boat.
