This week, we will be learning about money.  Please follow the link for the White Rose Maths videos on the content we will cover.

We will be working practically with coins, recognising coins and counting and adding coins and notes. 

 

Activities you could do are:

- Order a group of coins from smallest to greatest value, not size!

- Choose two or more coins and find their total in pence

- Choose two or more pound amounts (£1, £2 or notes) and find their total in pounds

- Choose a mixture of pounds and pence notes/coins and find their total as so many pounds and so many pence (we do not need to use the decimal point yet!)

 

We will then find amounts including both pounds and pence.  By the end of the week, the children will be working on selecting coins to match a given amount.
