Rooted in faith, we reach for the stars.

Session 4

Session 4:

Today we would like you to tell your grown-up what a noun is – give some examples.

Did you remember?  A noun is a name, a thing or a place.

When we name an object or a piece of clothing, then that is a noun, e.g. dress is a noun.

We can add adjectives to nouns to make writing more descriptive and interesting, e.g. The long, black dress swished around the witch’s body. Long and black are the adjectives used to describe the dress.

We would like you to revisit the story – pause the video on a picture of either the witch or Rapunzel and think of adjectives to describe the character.

Examples of this:

scary witch

young girl

If you would like to, then you could draw a picture of your chosen character and annotate the picture.
