We have introduced our topic through the Indian animals but what about the country itself?  Where is it?  What is it like?

This PPT video gives you some information about India.  We have recorded the text in sound files so you can hear it being read out loud.

 

We are going to learn about different areas of India and compare them.  Like most countries, India has urban areas (towns and cities) and rural areas (countryside)

Please watch the BBC video about living in different areas of India.  

In your green book, please sort and stick the pictures from the Word document into two groups, labelled Urban and Rural.  If you have time, it would be great to show your understanding by labelling different features on the photos that show the differences between urban and rural areas.
