Rooted in faith, we reach for the stars.

VISION AND VALUES

Ephesians 3:17

Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love.

Rooted in faith we reach for the stars

We are a nurturing community underpinned by a strong inclusive Christian ethos. We value and respect each individual in our community, nourishing a sense of confidence, self worth and courage that leads to aspiration and spiritual growth.   We work with our whole heart opening our arms to wisdom.  We show compassion for all of God's creation and have the resilience to meet future challenges.

Values

We use the acronym CARE that runs through every part of our school life.  For example, it can be found in our Learning Improvement Plan and our Behaviour Policy.

C - Community (Stratford upon Avon is our campus).  We show care for our local community, church community and the global community.

When we consider community this is underpinned by values such as CHARITY, COMPASSION AND COURAGEOUS ADVOCACY

A - Aspiration - Always doing our best.  A carefully assessed curriculum

When we consider Aspiration we also think about APOSTLESHIP.

R - Resilience - Never giving up (metacognition -and self regulation)

There are many aspects of our lives that help us to be resilient.  We also look at RECONCILIATION and RESPECT for others.

E - Enjoyment - An enjoyable and enriching curriculum for all

We also consider the need for EXPRESSION, (through pupil voice) and EQUALITY.

Our values are encapsulated by the parable of the mustard seed and they link to our school vision.

Matthew 13

The Parables of the Mustard Seed

31 He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. 32 Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”

This parable tells that through care and nourishment a tiny seed can grow into something quite spectacular and as it stretches and flourishes it can benefit others, in this case the birds in its branches, in our school case, it is our community, within and beyond our school.
