  • Peace Light from Bethlehem

    Fri 19 Dec 2025

Each year, Scouts around the world share a candle lit from the Nativity scene in Bethlehem. This light is passed from country to country by lighting one candle from another, symbolising peace and unity. Earlier this week, the light arrived at Gilwell Park, where a representative from Warwickshire collected it and brought it back to the county.

The local Scout group in Alcester has now lit a candle from this flame and will keep it burning until Christmas. The aim of this tradition is for Scouts worldwide to share the light with as many people as possible.  We have been proud to display the candle here at school and all the children witnessed our advent wreath being lit from the same flame.

  • A Festive Message from Mrs Herrero

    Fri 19 Dec 2025

To our wonderful Holy Trinity families,

I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and hope that you have a very special time with all the people you love.

Working at this school continues to be a privilege. It is such a joy to come to this place every day. We have the most dedicated hard working staff, whose compassion and care for the pupils in this school shines through every day. The children are what makes this job so very special and unique. Their impulsiveness, curiosity and eagerness to learn make every day fun and every day different.

Thank you to all of you for your continued support.

    Mrs Herrero, Head Teacher

  • Reverse Advent! 10 years of Christmas Giving!

    Fri 19 Dec 2025

Advent starts TODAY! and that means it’s time for our annual Reverse Advent Calendar. 24 numbered boxes will be displayed in the entrance hall, and children are invited to bring in donations for the Stratford Foodbank. Each day we will fill one or two of the boxes so that, by the last day of term, all 24 boxes will be filled and the food will be donated to those in need.

    Urgently needed items include:

    Tinned Peas (Not Mushy Peas)

    Tinned Carrots

    Egg Noodles

    Tinned Corned Beef

    Handwash

    Honey

    UHT Fruit Juice

    Instant Mash

    Coffee

    Savoury Snacks

As these donations will not reach the foodbank until just before Christmas, they will be distributed after Christmas, please ensure that items have a few months’ shelf-life.

This will be a lovely way for the school to mark the approach of the Christmas season whilst remembering those less fortunate than themselves. Children do not have to donate but could donate multiple times if they wish. Donations can be brought in any time from now until Christmas and will be kept in classrooms until they are added to the calendar – please do not donate via the office.

This is the TENTH time, that we have run the calendar and it has always been a huge success in the past; we hope that it can be even bigger this year.

Wishing you all well as we approach the festive season.

    Yours faithfully

    Mr Sandle-Keynes

p.s. For those looking for a festive challenge this year, why not see how many of the items on the reverse of this letter you can cross off as donated? This is only a suggestion – please give whatever long-life items you are able.

  • Trip to Stratford School – Mary Poppins

    Wed 17 Dec 2025

Some of our children had a magical experience visiting Stratford School to watch the wonderful student production of Mary Poppins. The performance was full of music, laughter, and dazzling stagecraft, captivating the children from start to finish.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to enjoy live theatre and experience the excitement of a professional-style performance. The trip also sparked creativity and inspiration, making it a memorable part of their Christmas celebrations.

  • Christmas Dinner in School

    Wed 17 Dec 2025

The school was filled with festive cheer as pupils and staff enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner together. Tables were decorated, crackers were pulled, and everyone savoured a special seasonal meal, complete with all the trimmings!

It was a wonderful opportunity for the school community to come together, celebrate the season, and enjoy some festive treats. The smiles, laughter, and holiday spirit made it a truly memorable day for everyone.

  • Year 6 Spreading Christmas Cheer in the Community

    Tue 16 Dec 2025

Our Year 6 pupils recently visited local care homes to spread some festive cheer by performing Christmas carols using handbells. The children played beautifully, filling the rooms with music, smiles and the true spirit of Christmas.

This special visit gave the pupils a valuable opportunity to connect with members of the local community and bring joy to others during the festive season. The residents greatly enjoyed the performances, and it was lovely to see the children showing kindness, confidence and compassion.

We are very proud of our Year 6 pupils for representing the school so positively and helping to make Christmas a little brighter for everyone they met.
