  • 🎭 Shakespeare Parade 2026 – A Wonderful Celebration for Our School Community

    Mon 27 Apr 2026

We are incredibly proud to share that members of our school community played a special part in this year’s Shakespeare Birthday Celebrations Parade in Stratford-upon-Avon.

A huge congratulations goes to Mr Sandle-Keynes, our Year 4 Sharks Teacher and member of the Senior Leadership Team, who had the honour of being compère for the entire event. This is a fantastic recognition of his role in such a prestigious and historic celebration, and we are immensely proud of his contribution to the day.

We are also delighted to celebrate Miss Smith, Year 4 Llamas teacher, who led our country dancers as part of the vibrant parade performances. Her leadership helped bring energy, tradition, and joy to the streets of Stratford as part of this world-famous celebration.

Our school was also proudly represented along the route, standing together behind the beautiful setting of Holy Trinity Church as the parade made its way through the town — a moment that truly connected our community with the heart of Shakespeare’s legacy.

Taking part in such a significant cultural event is a wonderful opportunity for our staff and pupils to be part of living history, and we are so proud of everyone involved for representing our school with enthusiasm, professionalism, and pride.

Thank you too to our Team who came on the special day to support us - it would not have been possible without you.

Well done to all involved in making this such a memorable day!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate members of our school team who took on some fantastic running challenges this weekend!

A huge congratulations to Mr Hall, our Year 5 Hummingbirds teacher, who delivered an outstanding performance at the London Marathon, finishing in an impressive time of 2:34:56 and placing 386th in the mass event — an amazing achievement!

Well done also to Miss Petra from our Preschool and Miss Louise from our Premises Team, who both successfully completed the Stratford-upon-Avon Shakespeare Half Marathon. What a brilliant accomplishment!

Your dedication, determination, and resilience are truly inspiring to our whole school community.

    Congratulations to you all!

  • Open the Book with Holy Trinity Church

    Thu 23 Apr 2026

We were delighted to welcome members of Holy Trinity Church, Stratford-upon-Avon into school this week as part of the Open the Book storytelling programme, organised by the Bible Society.

Open the Book brings Bible stories to life through interactive storytelling, helping children engage with key moments and messages in a fun and memorable way. It was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to experience these stories in an engaging and meaningful format.

A special well done goes to our Year 6 children, who took part in the storytelling and helped share the stories with the rest of the school. They represented us brilliantly and brought real enthusiasm and confidence to their roles.

We are very grateful to our visitors from Holy Trinity Church for giving up their time to share this experience with us and for helping to make learning so memorable for our pupils.

A wonderful time was had by all!

  • Mr Sandle-Keynes Featured on Taskmaster Education Podcast

    Wed 22 Apr 2026

We are incredibly proud to share that our Year 4 Sharks teacher and member of the Senior Leadership Team, Mr Sandle-Keynes, has recently been featured on a Taskmaster Education podcast episode.

In the interview, Mr Sandle-Keynes discusses the hugely popular Taskmaster programme at our school, which has been running successfully for many years and has become a much-loved tradition for our Upper Key Stage 2 pupils. What began as a fun, creative enrichment activity has grown into a real right of passage, helping children develop teamwork, resilience, problem-solving skills, and a great sense of humour along the way.

The podcast explores how the original Taskmaster concept inspired the development of the Taskmaster Education programme for schools, which is now used nationally to support creative learning and engagement in classrooms. You can find out more about the programme here: https://taskmastereducation.com/

We are also proud that Mrs Sandle-Keynes has played a key role in bringing Taskmaster to life in our school, ensuring it remains a highlight of the school year and a memorable experience for pupils.

It is fantastic to see our school practice and staff expertise recognised in this way, and we are delighted that Mr Sandle-Keynes was invited to share our school’s story and experiences.

Thank you to Mr Sandle-Keynes for consistently finding creative and inspiring opportunities to enrich school life and bring energy, enjoyment, and memorable experiences to our pupils.

    Artemis Mission Clip

On Friday our assembly was about the Artemis mission. Mrs Herrero shared this clip with the children, but we got so enthusiastic pausing it and talking about some elements of the mission that we didn't have time to show it all.  Here is the link in case the children want to watch it at home:
