Vision and Values
Rooted in faith, we reach for the stars
"May Christ dwell in our hearts through faith as we are rooted and grounded in love"
Ephesians 3:17
Our Christian Vision at Holy Trinity C of E Primary School
At Holy Trinity Church of England Primary School, our vision is “Rooted in Faith, we Reach for the Stars”, inspired by Ephesians 3:17:
“May Christ dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are rooted and grounded in love.”
Our vision is rooted in the Christian faith and shaped by the Church of England’s national vision for education, “Deeply Christian, Serving the Common Good”. This calls us to place Jesus’ teaching and example at the heart of school life, enabling every child to flourish academically, socially and spiritually.
As a school, we reflect on the wider message of Ephesians, which speaks of the greatness of God’s love. We want our pupils to know that they are deeply loved by our community and to understand how the strength of that love can build confidence, support resilience and help them to reach their aspirations. This belief underpins everything we do and informs our school values. Our school values celebrate We celebrate Community, Aspiration and Resilience and throughout all of this, we want our pupils and teachers to Enjoy our learning and teaching.
At our school, we are a nurturing and inclusive Christian community, underpinned by a strong Christian ethos. We hold a profound respect for each individual within our community, recognising that every person is uniquely made in the image of God and has a valuable contribution to make. Our commitment is to cultivate a sense of confidence, self-worth and courage, enabling all pupils to aspire towards their full potential and achieve spiritual growth.
We work with our whole heart, valuing the wisdom that comes from shared experiences and collective learning. Compassion for all of God’s creation is at the heart of our values, guiding how we treat one another and fostering kindness, understanding and respect. We strive to instil resilience in our students, equipping them with the skills, confidence and grace needed to face future challenges. Together, we envision a learning community that not only values education but also nurtures the holistic development of each individual.
Our Christian vision shapes our values and daily practice and guides:
- decision-making
- relationships and behaviour
- curriculum design
- collective worship
- and our approach to service and courageous advocacy
Through this, we aim to nurture the whole child and ensure that our school community is a place of wisdom, hope, dignity and community, where everyone can belong, thrive and reach their full potential.
Our wishes for pupils leaving our school
