The newsletter includes a range of family-focused news, events and support information for families across Warwickshire:

Weekly highlights

  • Safer Internet Day – Encouraging young people to use technology (especially AI) safely and responsibly.

  • Children’s Mental Health Week – Information and activities supporting mental wellbeing for children and young people.

  • Half-term activities – A roundup of family-friendly events happening over the February school holiday, including outdoor play, storytelling, library sessions and creative opportunities.

 

Support & opportunities

  • A short survey asking families for feedback on the recent Everyone Active free swim sessions (that were offered to newsletter subscribers).

  • Free workshops for Warwickshire residents aged 16+ to build budgeting and private renting skills.

 

Featured local events

  • Warwickshire Libraries Careers Fair – A free event on 3 March aimed at people aged 14+ with talks and practical advice.

 

Health & wellbeing reminders

  • Free NHS health checks for young people with learning disabilities and guidance on ensuring they’re on their GP practice’s Learning Disability Register.

 

Special content

  • A day-to-day SEN support pack with practical tips to make routines smoother for neurodivergent children and families.

  • Celebration of eight years of Adoption Central England supporting families and children.
