Our Early Support Approach
Early Support at Holy Trinity C of E Primary School is:
- Child-centred and family-focused
- Voluntary and non-judgemental
- Based on early identification of need
- Designed to prevent concerns from becoming more complex
We work closely with families to identify strengths, understand needs and agree appropriate support that promotes children’s wellbeing, attendance, behaviour and learning.
This approach reflects Warwickshire’s Early Support framework and supports our duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils.
What Early Support Can Include
Depending on a family’s needs, Early Support may involve:
- Listening to concerns and offering advice and guidance
- Signposting to appropriate services and resources
- Support with parenting, routines, behaviour or emotional wellbeing
- Help accessing local and county-wide services
- Coordinated support alongside other professionals (with parental consent)
Early Support Assessments
Where appropriate, the school may work with families using an Early Support assessment. This:
- Is completed with families, not done to them
- Identifies strengths as well as needs
- Helps create a clear, shared support plan
- Ensures support is co-ordinated and proportionate
Parental consent is always sought, and families are fully involved in decisions about support.
Partnership Working
Holy Trinity C of E Primary School works in close partnership with a range of Warwickshire Family Support services, as listed above. Additional Support Services we may signpost families to:
- ChatHealth – text advice for parents and young people
- RISE – emotional wellbeing and mental health support
- Targeted parenting programmes and wellbeing services
Accessing Early Support
Families can access Early Support by:
- Speaking to their child’s class teacher
- Contacting the school office
- Requesting support through the Family Information Service
We encourage families to talk to us early — support works best when concerns are shared as soon as they arise.
Our Commitment
At Holy Trinity C of E Primary School, we believe that strong relationships and early intervention help children thrive. Our Early Support provision ensures families feel listened to, supported and confident that help is available when it is needed most.
