At Holy Trinity C of E Primary School, we know that moving into a new class is an exciting milestone, but it can also bring a few butterflies. To help every child feel confident, prepared and ready for the year ahead, we have created a Transition Social Story.

Our simple six-step comic introduces children to what they can expect when they return to school in September. It gently explains familiar routines, meeting their new teacher, settling into their classroom and reminds them that it is perfectly normal to have lots of different feelings about a new beginning.

By reading the story together over the summer holidays, families can help children build confidence and look forward to the exciting opportunities that await them.
