Year One
Year One is an exciting and important step in your child’s learning journey, where curiosity is encouraged and confidence begins to grow. Building on the foundations from Early Years, children develop their independence while continuing to learn through engaging, hands-on experiences. Our days are filled with creativity, exploration, and plenty of opportunities to learn through play and discovery, all within a supportive and nurturing environment.
We are lucky to have two wonderful Year 1 classes. Turtles are taught by Mrs Templeton, and Alpacas are taught by Mrs Archer and Miss Spollon. Our dedicated team works closely together to ensure every child feels happy, safe, and valued, while being supported to reach their full potential both academically and socially.
We are also supported by our wonderful Teaching Assistants, Mrs Michallari, Mrs Chamberlain, Mrs Critchlow and Mrs Hall, who work closely with the class teachers to provide care, encouragement and additional support, ensuring every child feels confident and supported throughout the school day.
We look forward to a fantastic year of learning, laughter, and growth in Year 1!
