Our Vision for Learning

A Vision for Learning at Holy Trinity C of E Primary

Rooted in Faith, we Reach for the StarsAt Holy Trinity C of E Primary, we foster an environment where children are encouraged to ask questions, challenge themselves, and articulate their thoughts. Situated in Stratford-upon-Avon, our school embraces the cultural richness of our unique town as a platform for exploration. Our teaching methodologies promote metacognition, allowing pupils to explain their reasoning, make inferences, and embrace creative challenges.

Pupils cultivate a passion for reading through the study of high-quality novels in Key Stage 2, enriching vocabulary and enhancing writing skills. Our commitment to ‘Maths Mastery’ involves engaging students in dialogue, ensuring they understand the relationships within numbers. A dynamic curriculum, crafted collaboratively by teachers and subject leaders, responds to current events and ignites curiosity. Learning is structured and sequential, instilling high expectations, confidence, and a sense of responsibility in our students for living in a changing world.

When children move onto their next steps after primary school, we want children to be:

  • Independent, reflective, critical learners who have reached their highest academic potential
  • Articulate, well read, confident speakers who know their views are valued in our school
  • Having accessed a dynamic, vibrant, curriculum, where they have been challenged and inspired in ways that are matched to their individual needs
  • Knowing more remembering more and doing more
  • Having had learning experiences that lead to purposeful outcomes, where links with the world outside the classroom have been maximised
  • Having lived out our school vision and values so that their time in a school has been truly expansive
  • Proud of themselves, of their achievements of who they are and of their school
  • Courageous advocates who have a sense of worth and care about the causes that are important to them
