School Parliament Manifesto

The Key Stage Two School Parliament

Mission Statement

At Holy Trinity C of E Primary School, we pride ourselves on offering a rich range of opportunities to allow children to thrive and build on our sense of community and encouragement. We believe that a School Parliament led by children and adults from across the school and from our wider community is integral to nurturing responsible, collaborative and pro-active young people.

Elected Representatives

Our school parliament is composed of 2 elected representatives from each KS2 class and an adult representative from each area of the school including; a representative from the church, a representative from the admin team, representatives from the Senior Leadership Team, representatives from teaching staff and representatives from lunch staff/teaching assistants.

Ministerial Roles

This academic year we will be focussing on the following ministerial departments, with elected members assigned to each:

· Ministers for Education

· Ministers for Sport and Well-being

· Ministers for Culture and Foreign Affairs

· Ministers for Environment and Food

· Ministers for Community and Charity

· Ministers for Art, Music and Creativity

The Key Stage One School Council

The School Council meets regularly and is comprised of two members from each class.  The council discusses the positives in school as well as any issues arising from the childrens' point of view; areas such as fundraising are also discussed.

School Council success stories range from our Buddy Bench in our Junior Playground as well as the wonderful equipment we enjoy at break times.
