This World Book Day we organised the second edition of our World Book Day Bake Off. Children in Key Stage 2 were challenged to bring in their book inspired cakes.
Their creations absolutely blew us away. From chocolate cake Wonka bars to Twitch inspired carrot cakes, it was obvious how much effort and creativity the children had put into their bakes.
During the morning, Ms Castle and Mr Frerichs tasted all the wonderful creations (such a hard task) and chose a star baker for each year group.
Most excitingly, the cakes were sold in our bake sale at the end of the day. Parents and children could marvel at the baking genius of our children and, of course, taste it as well.
We’re very pleased to inform you that we raised a staggering £550! Thank you to everyone who bought and donated. The money is vital to help us keep our libraries full with exciting new books.
